Dear District Attorney Reisig,

The Board of the UC Davis Police Officers Association, on behalf of our membership, is happy to inform you of our full support for your re-election during the June 2018 elections.

You are steadfastly dedicated to the production and support of our community, a mission we share together. Your commitment to both the community and law enforcement, with an experienced, progressive approach to our common law enforcement goals is noteworthy and greatly appreciated by our officers. Outreach efforts, and innovative programs such as your podcast and the Citizen’s Academy are examples of engaging with the community at a level beyond the norm and have allowed many an opportunity to better understand our community’s needs and law enforcement’s efforts. Your office’s participation in the Restorative Justice Program has provided additional accountability in a time when our criminal justice system might not otherwise have the means to do so.

Indeed, your own accountability, professionalism, and constructive relationship with us has always been helpful and only enhances the success we achieve in accomplishing our mutual mission. Our officers come from a wide variety of backgrounds and many have worked with you during their time at various Yolo County law enforcement agencies, noting that your office’s aggressive, and motivated work goes miles to empathetically protect victims and achieve justice.

On behalf of our officers, we look forward to a productive future working together.

Sincerely,
Justin Brewer
